Biliana Velkova, Director
Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Biliana Velkova is currently based in Vancouver. Her practice incorporates photography, performance and humour to explore the significance of consumerist culture, diaspora and social identity. She has an MFA from the University of Saskatchewan and a BFA from Concordia University. Most recently she was the Executive Director of PAVED Arts Media Centre in Saskatoon. She is the founding member of the artist curatorial collective blunt, whose mandate is to promote dialogue between Canadian and Eastern European artists. blunt has realized projects in Slovenia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Canada.

Yana Kostova, Curator
Yana Kostova is a librarian at the National Film Archive working on projects for the Odeon Cinema, Sofia. She has MA in art history and theory from the National Academy of fine arts and has specialized arts management at the International Center for Cultural Management, Salzburg and curatorial practices in contemporary art at the ICA, Yerevan. She has carried out an internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and worked as assistant curator at Kunsthaus Graz, collaborating with KiZ Kino Royal, Graz, and carried out residencies at the Michelangelo Pistoletto Foundation in Biella, Italy and Likovni Salon, Celje, Slovenia. She has curated among others the 13th Week of Contemporary Art, Plovdiv/ Banya Starinna, Small Season/ Sfumato Theatre Lab, Sofia, Art for the Very Last Time/ National Academy of Arts, Sofia.
